I hope you are doing well!
As you may have seen, I will be participating in the Center for Global Action (CGA) in January. This is a discipleship program with an emphasis on leadership, which is what initially caught my attention and what God used to reveal that this was His next step for me. During the program, I will continue learning about my identity in Christ, but will also learn how to lead myself and others.
Are you asking yourself, “What exactly does all this mean??? Why should I consider giving???”
Continuing to grow in confidence and learning to lead well will equip me for all aspects of life. It gives me needed tools for everyday living, for my future as a wife and a mother, for really anything God puts in my path. I don’t know what God has planned for me after CGA, but the dreams He has been placing in my heart since returning from the World Race indicate that overseas missions are probably part of those plans.
While on the World Race, two of my favorite ministries were His Hands for Honduras and Rescue Pink. His Hands for Honduras is a child sponsorship program that is under the umbrella of His Hands Ministries in the United States, but it is run by a church in Zolano, Honduras. The program provides food, clothes, and education for most of the children in this very poor community. The program also teaches the children about Jesus through songs and Bible stories. Rescue Pink, founded by a woman in Texas, is an organization that has several locations across India. This organization has three main parts, all serving undervalued women and girls in the different communities. It provides women a loan to start a business along with classes to teach them business skills. It provides nutrition and education for pregnant and lactating mothers. And it provides girls a place to come after school to learn English, have a nutritious snack, and play with other girls. Rescue Pink’s motto is “I am beautiful, strong, and brave.”
Since returning home, God has placed these two ministries on my heart over and over again, more than any of the others that I worked with. I would love to have the opportunity to work with one or both of these organizations in the future. Not only would I relish the chance to visit familiar people, serve with them once again, and show people they are loved, but I would also like to learn the ins and outs of founding and running a non-profit such as these. God has not given me direction past CGA, but He has given me dreams. By participating in CGA, I will be better prepared to bring these God-given dreams (or others) to existence.
Please continue coming alongside me on this journey by praying for me, as well as giving a donation! Your support is what will make CGA possible!
